Hiking

Saturday was another beautiful day! We took full advantage and enjoyed some of our local hiking trails. Daddy underestimated Kynzley's love for running through the woods, he predicted a half hour hike - WRONG! Two hours later we finally made it back to our car, sore and dirty but we made it!

Kynzley and I wanted to show Francis a trail we found last year that took us to a great lookout and some fun rocks to climb. Unfortunately we missed the trail but ended up finding another look out that was just as pretty - took us a lot longer to reach it, but it was worth it in the end :)

We made it! The other bluff in the pic is the one we originally wanted, but hey a little extra walking never hurt anyone!

We made it back to the beginning safely! 

Easter Festivities

We had a great and blessed Easter! This year we were able to make an Easter egg hunt put on by our town, Francis's parents came down for the weekend and Kynzley was spoiled by the Easter bunny! The weather on Sunday was gloomy and rainy but it made for a good, lazy family afternoon just hanging out together! 

And she's off! Kynzley's strategy - go for the pretty eggs instead of collecting as many as possible

Spring! Are you here to stay?!

It is finally starting to feel like spring!!! It's about time, right?! We have been taking every advantage we can to be outside. Even if it is just to draw with chalk, ride the bikes up and down the sidewalk or take a quick walk down to the park - at least we are outside!!!!!

Yesterday it was suppose to be close to 70 degrees! I'm not sure if it got there and it was pretty windy, but it's okay we still enjoyed our day outside. Kynzley was outside from 10am to about 5:45pm when I finally convinced her to come in for dinner. We started off our day at a park and ran into some friends! We had a picnic, went down to the river and fed (tried) some ducks - the wind was so strong the bread was blowing all over the place :(, ran some quick errands, colored with chalk, rode bikes, played in the dirt and enjoyed some time with the neighbors! The weather has been so nice it seems like every night lately we have three little girls riding their bikes up and down our driveway! So much fun!!
