Up North

We traveled up north this past weekend to spend some time with family. It was a great trip! The pictures explain pretty much everything we did!! Ü

We left after dinner hoping she would sleep -- nope! She stayed awake the whole trip, but she was VERY good and quiet. She read her book most of the time --such a good girl!

 Fair Time!

He wore uncle Fran's boots all weekend - they were his chore boots ... when he fed the cows

No one wanted to be in this picture....except Kynzley :)

 Better :-)

Red fish, blue fish, Kynzley FISH

Kynzley wrapped up swimming lessons last week. Daddy got to do the last day with her -- the fun day -- because mommy had stitches and couldn't go in the water. But it gave me a great opportunity to get some fun pictures! They played some games and sang some songs and she showed daddy how to go down the big girl slide!

Kynzley is in there somewhere :-)

She knows right where to go

Heat Wave

Holy hotness! The heat has come! This weekend was a warm one, but we made the most of it! Friday night our friends Katie and Olive came over to play with Kynzley and I. The girls had a blast! They sure were making Katie and me laugh, they are too cute! :-)

Saturday we headed to the county fair. Last year Kynzley slept through the fair so we were excited to see her expression with all the animals this year. She saw goats, horses, sheep, pigs and cows. She also had her first experience with mini donuts :)

Sunday the real heat hit! WOW! It was CRAZY warm. We didn't want to just sit inside so of course we went SWIMMING! (Kynzley has been swimming every day this week but one Ü) We tried a different aquatic center than the one we normally go to ( there are lots to choose from close to home!) and we had a great time! Kynzley loves slides and when we arrived we noticed there was a height restriction for the big slides, but they did have a smaller slide for her to go down all by herself. Of course its what we did most of the time :-)  When she wasn't going down the slides we hung out in the water and "tossed" Kynzley back and forth - she LOVES to splash and is not afraid of going under water!

After the pool and a nap we continued water play at home. We all ran through the sprinkler and played in the (little) pool. Kynzley sure is her happiest when she can be outside and especially when she is in the water! It's so much fun!

At the end of the day we grilled out and cooled off with a trip to DQ! Daddy also got lots of love at the end of the night!!

15(almost 16)month update

Today Kynzley had her 15 (almost 16) month check-up. She did great (like always)! She weighed in at 23lbs and 2 feet 7inches, 50 percentile for both. Today she showed Dr.Caron where shoes go: on her feet :-) and she even showed him how many she is!

Kynzley shows us something new that she has learned every day! She continues strong with her animal sounds. She knows cow, bear, kitty, fish, chicken and sheep. She also knows the word dog :). Her big thing lately is "whats dat (that)?" She points at EVERYTHING and asks "whats dat?" We have also been having a busy summer. She is currently in swimming lessons (round 2 Ü), which is a blast. She is definitely our little fish. We spend A LOT of time in the water! (thank goodness papa and nana have a pool!) She is still very rough at tough :) She can def hold her own. She loves to play tackle and jump off things (mostly the couch) and she is really good at giving Nana heart attacks :). We joke that she will more and likely have some sort of cast before the age of three -lol-.

We were ready to go for a walk when she noticed daddy had set out the sprinkler. There was no stopping her
