Stoney Creek!

What a perfect weekend!!!! We traveled to Osseo, WI, to have a fun filled weekend of camping! We were suppose to take this trip a couple of weeks ago with our camping buddies, but Francis had to take a very unexpected trip to Korea so we had to postpone. We packed up our things and headed there this weekend: just Francis, Kynzley, myself and Cody Bear!

The weather was perfect for camping!!! Sunny days (not too hot) and cool clear nights - perfect for a campfire! We kept pretty busy too!!! There were train rides, tractor rides, crafts, pool time and lots of time spent at the park :) Cody was also in heaven! The weather was cool enough for him to be outside of the camper A LOT. We all had a great time - like we usually do :)!!!!!

All ready for the first fire of the weekend!

First s'more out of many :)

Being silly while we were waiting for daddy to get the fire going

Two great weekends!

We are definitely keeping busy!!! Last weekend and this weekend were full off fun activities :) Francis has had two back to back trips for work (Canada and Korea) so we cherish our weekends when he's home!

Last weekend I planned a run in Chicago with my sister, so it was a daddy/daughter weekend! They had a great time while I was away. Yes, if your wondering, I cried (A LOT and really HARD) when I came home Sunday and saw all the pictures from the stuff they did :( I'm happy they had such a great time, but super sad I missed out. They attended a youth outdoor fest, where Kynzley got to practice her fishing, shoot a BB gun, she made a bug house and enjoyed a lot of quality time with daddy!

(I give Daddy lots of props for getting lots of great picture over the weekend!)

Standing with the fish she caught :)

This past week Francis was in Korea. We had a camping trip planned, which had to postpone since he wasn't going to be in the country, but the country fair was in town!!! Kynzley and I planned on going Saturday afternoon but Francis surprised us by getting a flight home a day early so we could go as a family!!!! We had TONS of fun! Kynzley has been talking about the fair pretty much since last years fair. She LOVES the animals and the rides, but her most favorite part of all... the horses!! The girl is obsessed!!! There will def be horses in our future :)

Miss not afraid of anything! Hanging over the ferris wheel to get a better look

She named this horse Shoot Star and we had to ride him twice :)

What we've been up to!

We are definitely keeping busy!!! So busy, the blog is getting behind :( We've been camping a couple times (with another trip coming up!), there has been a lot of time in the water (pools and beaches!) and enjoying all the nice weather we have been having lately!

Awareness

I was recently contacted by an incredibly strong lady asking if I would be willing to post her story on my blog. I am honored to introduce you to Heather Von St James and her story of courage and determination!

Heather was diagnosed with Mesothelioma, a cancer that kills most within the first TWO years, when her daughter was only 3 1/2 months old. You can imagine how devastated she was! Her first thought being her daughter and not knowing if she would have the opportunity to watch her grow up. As a mother that tugs at my heart extra hard.

With heavy treatments and recovery time, 7 (yes, SEVEN!) years later Heather is strong and cancer free!!!!! Her goal has become to turn her 'pain into purpose and become someone that other people can look to for guidance, inspiration and hope in situations such as her own'.

Here is a the link to her story! Please take a moment to watch!!! Heather's goal is to make awareness of a little known cancer that is such a deadly killer but, as Heather states, 100% preventable!

A birthday party and Father's Day

We had a very eventful weekend! We attended a bridal shower, a birthday party and had Father's Day - we made it through like champs :)

Kynzley's good friend, Olive, turned three! The kids had a ton of fun running through the sprinkler and Olive LOVED when everyone sang happy birthday! This is such a fun age :)

For Father's Day we headed to Nana and Papa's house for a nice picnic and lots of time in the pool. Oh goodness, Kynzley was in the pool from 11 to 4:30. She is our little fishy!!!! It was great to finally be able to enjoy the pool and sun!

She thought it was cool that she could still fit in the baby floaty
