Happy Birthday Mothers Day

I had a great birthday Mothers Day as Kynzley would call it! I'm pretty sure the gift giving is what brings the birthday part into play :) She definitely makes me feel super special! When I woke up she met me in the bathroom with a big smile and a "Happy Birthday Mothers Day! Are you ready for your gifts?" This year I received a Barbie card, an umbrella and the cutest homemade flower box with cute flowers! When Francis asked Kynzley what she wanted to get me for Mothers Day her response was an umbrella and a dress with high heels - she knows her mommy so well!!! Francis skipped on the dress and heels -for obvious reasons at the moment ;)- but Kynzley made sure the umbrella was a must! When we sold my car I seemed to have misplaced my umbrella and it has been soooo rainy here lately that it has really bummed me out that I cannot find it. The biggest struggle has been taking Kynzley to school and walking to the door in the rain. She has a super cute umbrella that keeps her nice and dry (and a rain coat and boots to match Ü), but I don't have one so I'm always soaked. She had her mind set for about a week that an umbrella was the perfect gift for me so I heard a lot of "we got you something you'll really like for Mothers Day! It will keep you dry in the rain. But I can't tell you what it is, it's a surprise!" I LOVE IT! It's even blue to match the blue one I misplaced - gosh! She's good!
The flower box and flowers are super cute! Francis said she had a lot of fun making it and was adamant on how it was going to be made and assembled! They had a lot of fun together making it!

The flowers have pics of the last three Mothers Days on them :)

I feel super blessed to have this cutie patootie in my life. I'm so happy I can call her mine <3

Double Whammy

Two blogs in one!

Grandparents Day 2014

This week Kynzley was able to show her grandparents around her school and the activities she gets to do! Her school hosted Grandparents Day followed by a spring concert. She was blessed to have both sets of grandparents there to join her! Francis and I were able to attend the spring concert and it was so cute :) It's amazing how much more comfortable Kynzley and her classmates are up on stage compared to their Christmas concert. We were definitely able to hear Kynzley singing her heart out!

- Their theme was patriotic hence all the red, white and blue :)

Baby Update 32 weeks

Yesterday we hit 32 weeks and we made it to May! This is the point when looking back in Kynzley's baby journal everything started going downhill. I am so thankful that I kept a journal with Kynzley (doctor appointments, dreams, random thoughts and pictures), it has been so neat to look back and compare how similar and different these pregnancies are. 32 weeks was the last official entry in Kynzley's journal. I complained A LOT and was not feeling well. I also wasn't sleeping. How does that compare to now?! I do get sleep at night - that's a huge difference!!! I do toss and turn a bit, but if I find a comfy spot I fall right back to sleep. With Kynzley I had to sit up to try and sleep at this point. 32 weeks was the week before being put on full bed rest while pregnant with Kynzley. I had no energy and my body was becoming unrecognizable from swelling. So far I have been able to (for the most part) control my swelling. My feet are starting to swell and stay swollen ... BUT ... I still have ankles so they aren't too bad yet :) I can more so just tell because of the way my shoes fit. Come on warmer weather so I can go barefoot and wear simple sandals!!!!! It seems like our May is going to be busy, which is a good thing! It gives me goals to reach towards and my mind off of the possibility that we could be having a baby this month instead of June.

Baby bump facts:
-Blood pressure this time around is actually on the lower end for being pregnant! Doctor has noted that I will have to watch being light headed often because of it.
-Besides the original reaction that occurs while being pregnant I have also been diagnosed with Cholinergic Urticaria - basically allergic to warmth and heat (hoping that it's only pregnancy induced!). This has made it sort of difficult to take warm baths and/or showers to relax and I tend to over heat very quickly.
-No cravings and No aversions! (with Kynzley I craved meals{chicken, potatoes, corn, fruit, dessert} every night and got sick from the sight of hamburger! I could not even walk down the hamburger helper isle at the store without getting sick)
-Like I mentioned before, I kept a journal with Kynzley. I have also been keeping one this pregnancy, but have noticed it doesn't get filled out as quickly as Kynzley's did. I guess the second time around you get side tracked a lot more.
-This week Kynzley says the baby is a boy. She wants and brother and wants his name to be Jelly :) We call her peanut/peanut butter so she feels like it would be a perfect fit! She does, however, completely understand that we do not know what the gender is. When people ask her or try and tell her what the baby is she always lets them know "we don't know yet, it's a surprise!"
-I'm still going strong with boy as gender
-Francis thinks girl
-These are the exact same predictions that we had when pregnant with Kynzley :) Time will tell!
-Favorite clothes: Francis's :), over sized EVERYTHING!
-{FinGerS CrOssEd} 8 weeks to go!!!!!

Please don't mind the outfits, it has been raining for what seems like weeks :( Over sized clothes and PJ's are what we have been living in

Hiking

Saturday was another beautiful day! We took full advantage and enjoyed some of our local hiking trails. Daddy underestimated Kynzley's love for running through the woods, he predicted a half hour hike - WRONG! Two hours later we finally made it back to our car, sore and dirty but we made it!

Kynzley and I wanted to show Francis a trail we found last year that took us to a great lookout and some fun rocks to climb. Unfortunately we missed the trail but ended up finding another look out that was just as pretty - took us a lot longer to reach it, but it was worth it in the end :)

Racing

Can you see me?!

This was her attempt at the Tree Pose

We made it! The other bluff in the pic is the one we originally wanted, but hey a little extra walking never hurt anyone!

We made it back to the beginning safely!

Easter Festivities

We had a great and blessed Easter! This year we were able to make an Easter egg hunt put on by our town, Francis's parents came down for the weekend and Kynzley was spoiled by the Easter bunny! The weather on Sunday was gloomy and rainy but it made for a good, lazy family afternoon just hanging out together!

And she's off! Kynzley's strategy - go for the pretty eggs instead of collecting as many as possible

Looking for prizes

I'd say the Easter bunny was very generous to Kynzley and Daddy

"Pong Ball" So excited!

Chocolate at 8am :-/

Well, these last two pictures are the best I can post. The first Kynzley is hidden by the baby bulge and the second is just a typical family photo, ha! The Family photo that turned out great got butchered by my computer going crazy and doing its own cropping :(

Spring! Are you here to stay?!

It is finally starting to feel like spring!!! It's about time, right?! We have been taking every advantage we can to be outside. Even if it is just to draw with chalk, ride the bikes up and down the sidewalk or take a quick walk down to the park - at least we are outside!!!!!

Yesterday it was suppose to be close to 70 degrees! I'm not sure if it got there and it was pretty windy, but it's okay we still enjoyed our day outside. Kynzley was outside from 10am to about 5:45pm when I finally convinced her to come in for dinner. We started off our day at a park and ran into some friends! We had a picnic, went down to the river and fed (tried) some ducks - the wind was so strong the bread was blowing all over the place :(, ran some quick errands, colored with chalk, rode bikes, played in the dirt and enjoyed some time with the neighbors! The weather has been so nice it seems like every night lately we have three little girls riding their bikes up and down our driveway! So much fun!!

Yoo Hoo! Someone turned 4!

Miss Kynzley is FOUR years old!!!! Wow!!! Where has the time gone?! She is becoming such a big girl and such a little lady! We've been blessed with a great daughter, that's for sure!

This year for her birthday she requested a Minnie Mouse party. Not just a Minnie Mouse party, but a Minnie Mouse RED party. Of course she would choose that - no Minnie Mouse red decorations exist and she would not allow any Minnie pink items to be present at her party. Okay then! I guess it was time for this mamma to get creative and start some DIY projects! I had fun making ~E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G~ for this party, but I prefer never to draw a circle again or see the colors red, yellow or black for the rest of my life!

On Saturday, Kynzley had her friends over to help her celebrate being another year older. The girls had so much fun playing together! Since the theme was Minnie what better way to get in the spirit than by decorated their own bowed headbands! It felt like a little Minnie boutique! They also played pinned the bow on Minnie Mouse, opened presents and ate Minnie themed food (hot diggity dogs, Minnie bow tie pasta, plutos' pretzels, Clarabelle's cheese puffs and fruit and veggies from Daisy's fresh garden)!!!

Kynzley and her cousin McKenna all ready for the party! Kynzley's outfit was made to her perfection! I even had to make yellow shoes for her!

DIY plates, cups, headbands and the silverware even matched

The girls and their homemade headbands! They all turned out so pretty!

"Happy Birthday to you!"

Our birthday girl!!

On Sunday, for Kynzley's actual birthday we spent it how we usually do - loving her up and making her feel extra special :) Her cousin McKenna slept over Saturday night so it was fun to have her there to help us celebrate in the morning! Francis and I fully enjoyed listening to their conversations and giggles. At one point they were talking about being like sisters: "we are like sisters", "ya! great sisters!" Sunday evening Kynzley chose to go to Grizzly's for her birthday dinner. She had specific outfit she HHHAAADDD to wear (a dress with a cat on it and a pair of Minnie mouse shoes) and of course ordered her usual mac 'n cheese and fruit. After her dinner she was surprised with chocolate cake! Pretty sure she'd say she ended her birthday on a good note :)

Good morning sun shines ;)

Noticing the gifts

She was very excited to get a scooter! Since the weather still feels like being a pain she has been riding it all around the house!
