A Berry Bitty Birthday

Well, we officially have a five year old! Holy cow! FiVe?! Kynzley's birthday was last Monday and boy was she excited :) She has been so pumped to turn five (not 100% sure why). On Sunday (allll dddaayyy lllooonngg) she kept telling us that "tomorrow is a big day!", "it's going to be a big birthday tomorrow", "I have to make sure to get some rest tonight because tomorrow is a big day"!

Francis, unfortunately, had to leave for a two week work trip on Sunday night, but Kynzley's day was still filled with lots of special moments. She woke up to her room full of balloons and a fun decorated bedroom door. She made sure she wore something fancy to school and added a special 'birthday princess' pin. At school she was so excited to get a birthday crown to wear all day with her name on it! When she arrived home, Benton and I were waiting in the driveway with more birthday balloons and a happy birthday note on the driveway. After dance class that evening she was able to spend some fun time running around with our neighbor girls! She kept telling me it was the best birthday, which made me feel super good!

Kynzley's birthday party was this past Saturday! I had a house full of little girls - so cute! Kynzley invited all the girls from class and most were able to attend. We also had a special guest that has just returned from Texas, it was such a fun afternoon! Kynzley chose Strawberry Shortcake for her theme this year. It was a fun and cute theme to work with. For one of the activities the girls all got to make and take home their own strawberry creme pies. There were lots of giggles, running around, and fun memories made!

For a birthday treat for school Kynzley chose homemade chex mix. We put them in individual cups and added some fun sun glasses. When she arrived home on the bus it was cute to see all the kids wearing them through the windows :)

Well, this was a happy birthday message fail :( I didn't realize I missed the 'u' in peanut until I sent a picture to Francis. Ooops! I did change it, that way the neighbors didn't think I was goofy ;)

Party day!! Kynzley was Lemon Meringue and Kenna was Strawberry Shortcake

DIY strawberry balloons ;)

Pie making! The girls did such a great job and were so clean!

Benton and his new buddy Eddy!

The girls had a sleepover Saturday night. Sunday morning they woke up and needed to make crowns right away ;)
