January Update

It is almost the end of January already, CRAZY! This month has gone by so fast! We have kept busy, that's for sure. When looking at our schedule, we don't seem to be slowing down anytime soon.

We started January off by traveling up north. We enjoyed family time and celebrating Christmas. It's always fun to get together and I get such a joy out of watching all the kiddos play and giggle! It was a quick trip, but we try to make as many memories in the short time as possible.

This game was a HUGE hit over the weekend. As you an see even the adults got into it. Brain Freeze

The traditional Christmas p.j. picture! This year grandma got a new pair as well!

Kynzley has had a couple of snow days this month. We've had absolutely crazy weather so far this year. Snow storms, freezing rain, thunder storms, 50 degree temps, it's been nuts. The kiddos and Brutus enjoy the snow and it makes it a little bit more tolerable listening to the giggle and play in the fresh powder.

A snow day painting project. My little artists!

Kynzley always keeps us busy! A couple weeks ago she participated in a show choir camp - loved every minute of it! It was so fun to watch all the kids perform on the last night. Everyone put on a great show from the littles to the big high schoolers and all the soloists

One of the songs they were doing was a rock 'n roll song. Kynzley, of course, wanted to go all out and requested a mohawk. I did my best and had a happy performer in the end!

Kynzley and I were so excited that Zoie had a poms competition close to home that we were able to make and cheer her and her team on. They are AWESOME! That have done very well this season in their competitions and being able to see it in person made me completely understand why. These girls have talent and rock the floor like none of their competitors. As a young girl, Zoie always shined on the dance floor and she is carrying it with her through high school. Kynzley LOVES to watch her, as do I!
We were feeling pretty cool before we headed out to watch dance!

Kynzley's great friend Lily has a cousin on the poms team as well! The girls have fun cheering together!

This month also included a quick visit from the Lardners. The visit consisted of the usual adult catch up and McKenna and Kynzley completely disappearing together making fun memories.
Wine time

Mom brought out our high school prom dresses for the girls to play with.

Some fun randoms:

Brutus had his first weekend sleep over when we headed up north. We are lucky to have a great friend who lets him into his home and act as one of his own. Brutus LOVES all the play time :)

One of Kynzley's fun outfit choices. On this day she felt like looking like bubble gum. I think she succeeded!

Carley has had the honor :) of staying with us the last two weeks. Her and Brutus pretty much do everything together. He is going to miss her when she leaves!

We needed to get out of the house after having a couple snow days in a row! We headed to the children's museum and let off steam!

We had a girls day! Kynzley asked for a special stop at Starbucks and then we headed to Target and to get our hair done!

While having some girl time, the boys had boy time. Playing trains with daddy takes a lot out of a kid. Fell asleep on the couch at 4:30pm

Kynzley had a scheduled day off school so we packed up, took a ride and found some water and slides! No one wanted to leave, but blue lips are a parents sign of time to go - ha!
